There are several different ways to easily make your workplace environmentally friendly. A clean, healthy environment is key to ensure you and your staff have a productive, friendly work environment. Here are 4 easy tips on how you can make this happen!
1.Remember to turn off electronics!
When the day ends everything should be turned off (minus the fridge of course!) Whilst leaving the office remember to turn off your computers, heating, lighting and any other electronic appliances that have been used throughout the day! This little tip will help you save money in the long run!
A simple task to encourage your staff to turn everything off is by having a jar! Whoever does not turn their computer off before they leave will have to put some money in the jar, which will be donated to a charity of your choice.
2. Fill the office with plants!
There many different benefits of having an office plant. Research from Dr Chris Knight shows that employees were 15% more productive when ‘lean’ workplaces are filled with a few plants around the office. As well as this they are proven to help reduce stress, boost creativity but most importantly help clean the air! The cleaner the air the better the environment for your staff to work in!
3. Stop buying paper cups!
It’s no secret that we can’t live without our morning coffee, but it’s time to swap those paper cups with a reusable one! Simply notify your staff that no reusable cup = no coffee and we guarantee you there will be a rapid growth in eco-friendly mugs around your office! On average we go through half a trillion disposable cups each year when we could be using just one! Help save the millions of trees that are being cut down by making one simple swap!
Try and use less paper! With technology now it’s easy to go paper-free. Only print documents if it’s a necessity, make your notes digitally instead of using paper and finally recycle those old worn-out paper sign-in books and invest in a digital signing in system.
Entrée solutions is a digital signing in system that allows your visitors, contractors and staff members to sign in with ease, not only will this help the environment but it will also help you save money!
